Make 2020 the year you develop good health habits


New year, new resolutions. But is it ever really a new you?

You navigate through dry January, head to the gym a bit more frequently and it feels good for a while.

But February begins, alcohol is back and gradually you fall back into the same pattern of what you eat and drink and when you exercise.

This is not true of everyone of course but for those who do struggle with maintaining healthy habits, it can be frustrating.

The TONIQ Transformation Method is based on teaching you about healthy habits that are sustainable.

That means learning about what you should be eating. What should and shouldn’t be in your cupboard and how to cook it all!

It also means learning about the movement your body needs. It doesn’t just need the high intensity exercise to keep your cardiovascular system healthy and reduce your risk of heart disease, it also needs the ‘yin’ approach: Developing regular relaxation habits such as practicing meditation and yoga and learning how to breathe more effectively and efficiently.

All of this combines to give you better sleep.

Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for your body and mind to repair and restore itself and for us to maintain a positive outlook.

The stresses of everyday life can often contribute to poor sleep and this is one of the main areas we aim to tackle throughout the programme.

“In 2018/19 stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 44% of all work-related ill health cases and 54% of all working days lost due to ill health” (HSE Annual Statistics October 2019)

By assessing your body composition and lifestyle, we can focus on where improvements are needed and set targets.

Through the programme, we will teach you to eat better, sleep better, breathe better and move more. All in a way that fits in with your individual lifestyle.

We start the next TONIQ Transformation on January 11th with our 3D body scans. This is what we use to assess your body composition. There is also one at the end which allows us to have a completely transparent report of your progress.
